Tips for long-term storage of your mixer
We know that not everyone uses their new equipment right away. Here are some tips to keep your equipment in good shape for storage.
When it comes to storing equipment, you should pick a location that is not exposed to the elements of nature, moisture, and vibrations.
Before storing your equipment:
- Check all equipment for damage.
- Make sure you have all the equipment you ordered.
- Ensure all equipment that has oil inside is stored upright.
- Check the equipment periodically for oil leaks.
- Avoid storing equipment in humidity over 60% and keep the temperature between 32 – 104 degrees F.
If you are going to store a mixer for more than a year, you will need to check any lubricant before the mixer is put into use. You should also check exposed carbon steel for corrosion that may have occurred during storage.
