Ordering & Administrative FAQ
Quick answers to common questions about ordering equipment from us
How do you calculate shipping and handling costs?
-
We have negotiated rates with our preferred carriers. All shipping costs are estimated based on weights and dimensions of the package and the destination of the shipment. All ground shipments are fully insured.
Can I use my own shipping provider?
- Yes, you can! These orders will need to be processed manually with one of our Account Executives. We will need a current UPS or FedEx account number at the time of order placement. The order is subject to a handling fee, to cover costs for packaging and preparation for shipment.
- We do not contact third party shipping companies for quotes and put their costs on our quotes. We can either ship this best way with one of our preferred carriers, and apply that cost to the order, or with a current carrier account number.
Lead Times & Expediting Orders
- All lead times are listed in business days.
- Our products are all made-to-order. We calculate the lead times for each product by estimating the time it takes to receive needed inventory, assemble the product, package and ship to you.
- Expediting an order is subject to prior approval, and subject to an expedite fee. All expedite requests should be made prior to purchase, and done through an Account Executive.
Payment Processing and Tax Exemption
- Unless previously approved, all orders require immediate payment. On our web store, Mixer Direct, you can purchase with a credit card. Through our Account Executives, you can purchase with a credit card, check, or ACH wire transfer.
- We can mark an order as tax exempt with a valid tax exemption certificate, or re-sale certificate, for the state that the order is being shipped to. This certificate must be sent to MXD Process prior to purchase.
Is MXD Process able to provide documentation for products? (material certifications, surface finish certifications, certificate of conformance, etc.)
- Yes, we can provide this documentation for all of our stainless steel products. However, these documents must be requested prior to order placement, and must be done with a sales person. This is so that as we fabricate our products, we are able to ensure we have matching documentation to the stainless steel being used. In some cases we will need to special order items (such as impellers) and request certifications to be passed on.
